This featured packed player still has the edge over it's rivals and Archos has a long legacy in the portable video and mp3 player market. The price
on this model has now dropped quite significantly, whilst other manufacturers are still playing catch up in the area of colour screens and video playback.
Plays mp3,wma, wav and protected wma files from download sites. It is also compatible with rental music and video subscription services. The video player can play DivX and MPEG-4 movies on it's 2.2" colour LCD screen.
You can also connect this and watch movies through your TV or perhaps someone elses. Also you can transfer photos from the usb lineout of your camera and you can also display album and artist pictures. To top it off there's also a built in microphone.

The good: Sleek, compact design; sharp LCD resolution; slick video interface and controls; support for DRM-protected media; music and video syncing with Windows Media Player; photo viewer and direct image transfers from digital cameras; voice and in-line recording; Mophun game-engine support.
The bad: Player is heavy for its size; no video recording; no built-in speaker; so-so viewing angles; highest volume setting could be louder; no sound equalizer; no background music for photo slide shows; subpar battery life, especially for audio.
The bottom line: Archos's supercompact Gmini 402 portable video player adds DRM-protected media to its long list of features
