Boxwing has a sound that's already complete. Sometimes as with Down On Your Knees And Pray it's Emotive restless music with busy drums, punctured with excellent guitar fills and bass sounding a bit like the Who. Yet there's more variety! with the melancholic tone of I'm alright orchestra strings hum in sympathy. There's so many special flourishes in the mix that add interest to the songs. I think it's fine example that a band can produce great music independently. IntoMusic
