HOW TO DOWNLOAD SONGS
Nothing needs to be installed to download songs. Downloads will work with standard browsers.
On the artists page for songs with the option 'Free Download' simply click on the link. Choose songs you want to purchase by ticking the box next to the song, then click the button add to basket. Click 'Select All' to tick all. After your payment has been processed, you instantly receive links to download songs.
If the file opens automatically, then you can right click on your mouse and choose the option "save target as" to download the file to a specific location on your computer. When using apple mac use ctrl - click to download the file.
Some artists give you the opportunity of either one or two FREE promotional downloads View this week's Free Music Chart, Further tracks can be downloaded as pay per track.
The mp3 player you have installed to play files will affect the way your browser treats the music files and each player has it's own quirks.Winamp is highly recommended.
*IF YOU'RE NOT PROMPTED TO DOWNLOAD YOUR CHOOSEN MUSIC FILE AND IT JUST OPENS THE FILE
The standard settings will prompt you as to whether you would like to download or open the file. We recommend you 'SAVE' the file to your choosen folder on your hard drive.
For security this is a default setting for Most Browsers, however if some time in the past you have chosen to open mp3 files, then everytime you try to download a file it will be sent to your
temporary internet folder. You should be able to right click on your mouse and choose the option "save target as"

If you want to be able to just click and save the file here are some tips.
- Windows 2000 users -
Go TO: My Computer --> Folder Options --> File Types --> MP3 --> Advanced --> Click always show extension -->
Then remove all the actions from the field.
This will stop the file being automatically open and sent to your temporary folder.
If you really want to use windows media player go to the players settings click confirm before downloading. It's recommended you instal winamp or music match as windows media is not a very good player for mp3 files.
In the case of Windows Media Player 9 please save files by right clicking otherwise, windows media player will automatically open the file and try and play it. Not a very flexible feature created by MS.

HELP PLAYING MUSIC
The Previews allow you to listen to free online music, streaming the track almost instantly. You have to wait a few seconds for the track to pre-buffer. The tracks are encoded at a lower sample rate and either 30 seconds or 60 seconds long. The quality of the streams are no where near are good as the downloads therefore the idea is to allow you a preview first.
This allows you to make your choice on whether you'd like to download a full version. You may be prompted as to whether you would like to open a .m3u file in which case click 'Yes' to open the file and this will cause the track to be streamed without needing to be downloaded first.
- Macintosh Computers-
Mac with ITunes If you have this setup then the .m3u file will be downloaded. You then need to double click on this link and then it will play in Itunes.
Winamp is a popular choice
Winamp.
When downloaded and installed the player should automatically configure your browser.
