The Car FM Modulator works by connecting directly into the car aerial connection of your car radio so it's not an fm transmitter, the advantage though is that it provides a direct signal with no fm interference or need to find a clear unused fm frequency setting.

However you will need to get to the back of your car radio to connect the socket aerial and power leads, alternatively a car audio electrition could do it for you.

Your mp3 player or ipod then connects via the 3.5mm jack provided and plays your music through the radio.
